Starlight Xpress Ultrastar Mono is an advanced version of the ‘Superstar’ guide camera and has a similar resolution of 1392 x 1040 pixels. The sensor has 70% more area and QE is greater, at around 75% peak. These characteristics give the Ultrastar excellent performance as both a guide camera and an imaging camera, it’s also well suited to ‘Live Viewing’ with a greater FOV than the Lodestar x2. Price includes shipping to UK.
The QHY6 is a cooled 16 bit camera with a sensitive 1/3″ Mono EXview CCD that offers excellent guiding performance and deep sky imaging. It can be used without external power, for guiding, or with a 12 volt supply for cooled long exposure imaging.

The QHY5-III 290 Mono uses a SONY STARVIS Exmor R back illuminated CMOS sensor. The Starvis sensor allows you to “see” very dim stars in real time video. The QHY5-III 290 Mono can capture mag 9 stars when connected to a 50mm F1.4 C-mount lens. Compared with the IMX236 sensor it has twice the sensitivity to visible light and more than three times in the near infrared.
The QHY600 Mono Full Frame Cooled CMOS Camera uses the latest SONY IMX455 (K Grade) back-illuminated sensor, a full frame (35mm format) sensor with 3.76um pixels and native 16-bit A/D. This listing is for the Photo version, the Early Bird and Pro versions are also available, please ask.
NB! We have now received the QHY600L – which is a more appropriate version of this camera for most users.
