The Baader Fringe Killer Filter is a high quality UV/IR block which also removes violet and some blue light. Perfect for imaging and visual use with the smaller fast Chinese achromats and many semi-apochromats.
Makes the images from a cheap 80mm F5 achromat look considerably more expensive!
Works well in combination with the Astronomik CLS filter and also the Baader Longpass Red.

This filter does an excellent job of cleaning up the blue halos on images shot using a semi-apo scope. If exposures are not increased to compensate for the rejected part of the spectrum then a simple blue channel noise reduction action is all that is necessary prior to RGB combination to allow the Blue to be stretched along with the Red and Green without breaking down.
