An Excellent Introduction to Colour Imaging!

The QHY8L is a compact and light weight one shot colour APS size CCD camera at a similar price to many DSLRs. With it's Super HAD technology, peltier cooling system and high efficiency heat sink and fan, the dark noise is extremely low. Dark frames are not usually required.
The Sony ICX413AQ sensor with 7.8um*7.8um pixels is ideal for high sensitivity deep sky imaging.

QHY10 One shot colour CCD Camera

QHY10 is a compact and light weight one shot APS size CCD camera. With Super HAD technology and its two stage cooling system and the active cooling fan the dark noise of QHY10 is extremely low. The 6.05um*6.05um pixel size is idea for high resolution and high sensitivity deep sky imaging. The 400g weight and 63mm diameter make QHY10 very suitable for Hyper Star Imaging. The QHY10 is based on QHYCCD's high speed and low readout CCD technology. It will produce high SNR imaging for deep sky imaging.

New Features

  1. An improved CCD chamber with connection provided for a desiccant tube system . A removable Silica gel tube can be connected to the CCD chamber to absorb moisture. For Hyperstar imaging the tube can be temporarily removed and replaced later for storage.
  2. Fully airproof CCD chamber.
  3. A CCD center and tilt adjustment ring (Patent protected), allows easy CCD center and tilt adjustment by the user.

QHY22 CCD Camera

The QHY21, QHY22 and QHY23 cameras feature Sony's latest high sensitivity ExviewII CCD sensors: ICX674, ICX694 and ICX814. These sensors has very high QE (close to 80%) and very low thermal noise. With dual stage TEC cooling technology these cameras can achieve temperatures 45C below ambient. By comparison with the competition, the 10 to 15C of extra cooling helps ensure great results, even on hot summer nights!

The readout noise of QHY21, 22, 23 is typically 5 electrons. Readout noise is very important when capturing faint deep sky objects, especially when using narrowband filters. Lower readout noise means you can still get good images even when stacking fewer frames.
